CRAZY WORLD CAFE
Crazy World Cafe is tucked away in a corner of Chinatown. Amongst other shabby old shops, this place feels so youthful and away from the rest of the world.
I think this place has been around for quite some time already. However, I only just noticed it recently when I was in search of interesting food places!
As you can see from the logo, it's a cafe themed around Music and Design.
Sometimes, they have art exhibits on days when they do not have music acts.
Here are some of the exhibits. They are pasted on the walls around the little cafe.
The interior is cozy and I'm glad we came on a quiet weekday. Not sure if it is always like that though.
I love the decor of this place. Everything's just so cute and quirky!
Student exercise books! Nostalgic! "Xiao Ming and Xiao Hua de Gu Shi...." Lol.
They also have the "Normal, Express, Gifted" streaming exercise books. Which makes me think.... "Normal Academic" is normal, while "Express" means "Faster than normal". So why does the society think of "Express" stream as the norm and the "Normal" stream as the ones left behind?
These books are for sale!
There are also other miscellaneous items such as specially designed postcards and small merchandise for sale.
The items on the hangers are Tote bags! Check out the one that looks like a market plastic bag hahaha. So creative!
The "Singlish" notebook.
Every page had a Singlish word definition.
And the food? No GST No Service Charge!
Rootbeer float and ice lemon tea.
I just couldn't resist chicken wings.
The calamari wings were kinda disappointing because I read online that it is good. The little seasoning here and there was tasty, but I think they probably put lesser than intended because it was overall very bland.
I had chicken chop, side with potato wedges. I usually do not like black pepper but the black pepper sauce that came with it was nice!
Beer Battered Fish and Chips. The fish meat was yummy but I felt that it was quite average. Did not have much beer taste too.
Nevertheless, for the great dining experience, I give it a thumbs up!
We had desserts although we were already quite full. Had wanted waffles with maple syrup and banana, but because they ran out of bananas, we got ice cream to go with our waffles.
We also ordered a Red Velvet Cupcake. My first time trying Red Velvet! It's quite good in my opinion, especially when paired with the cream cheese topping.
These signs on the washroom wall...
Rock Concert. Rocks. Geddit? Hahaha.
Crazed in Crazy World Cafe.
I browsed around the shop for quite some time. There were just so many fascinating things lying around!
Love my outfit that day. Too bad the photo is yellowish and dark :(
My friend got these two items for me! ^_^
The Law Of Second Marriages. Went home and read it immediately. Finished reading it in less than an hour. You'd know why when you see inside.
Lego Brooch!
Really love this place.
