Milan, Italy

Milan!

We stayed in a quiet business hotel located in a quiet area 30 mins away from Duomo di Milano.

Domina Milano Fiera
Via Don Orione, 20026 Novate Milanese MI, Italy

Considered very nice compared to the many other "four stars" hotels we stayed in Europe. Located right next to a hypermart too, so we went there for some shopping too.

Sightseeing! First stop, Sforzesco Castle.

Piazza della Scala.

The highlight for many girls... Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II! It's a shopping arcade with all the big brands... I love the interior and pictures just don't do it justice.

Right through it is the famous Duomo di Milano!

Gonna be spamming lots of my photos below because I took many and can't decide which one is nicer. haha.

However, the photo taking experience was a scary one because of the huge number of pigeons. Before visiting, I was advised to avoid the bird feed vendors because they will go up to you, forcefully shove the bird feed into your hands and it supposedly makes your photos nicer because all the birds would flock to you. In return for this photo opportunity, they would demand 10-20 euros from you as service fee before letting you leave.

But I don't understand the appeal because I'm already so scared of the birds, I would never possibly want to hold any bird feed in my hands and make them come near me. In fact, I was trying to avoid them! However, the bird vendors threw bird feeds in my direction which resulted in all the birds flying near me and I was so so so pissed and scared at the same time.

We ate at this restaurant that sells nice pizza and pasta~

We also visited Sirmione, a resort town on the southern bank of Lake Garda in northern Italy. It’s known for its thermal baths and Rocca Scaligera, a medieval castle overlooking the lake.

We went on a boat tour in the lake!

The captain let him take over the steering of the boat for awhile while we were in the middle of the lake. Haha.

That's all for Milan, we have Venice, Florence and Rome next!
