Stirling

I was invited by Stirling for dinner one night and I decided to bring bf along to give his verdict for their steak since it was their main highlight and I don't eat beef.

Stirling is a newly opened restrobar serving Modern-Contemporary European cuisine located at 15 Cheong Chin Nam Road (opposite Beauty World Centre), with specialty in grilling food using charcoal.

We had Grilled Watermelon to start. It was interesting because I have never had grilled fruits before! Surprisingly, the parma ham went well with the sweet watermelon.






We ordered Cheesy Risotto Balls as it sounded quite interesting. Indeed, it was! A good side to pair with drinks.

Then, came the two highlights of the night. Bf had the recommended charcoal-grilled steak in gentlemen cut. As usual, he ordered it to be cooked rare. Few restaurants get it right and usually served it too cooked for his liking, but Stirling's was just right. Bf commented that the steak is juicy and easy to chew and I can see that he enjoyed it very much! The gentlemen cut portion is big enough for a guy's appetite and definitely very satisfying! At such reasonable pricing for its size, the taste and quality is actually also comparable to high-end steakhouses, very worth it!



I had the other recommended dish - Crispy King Salmon which came with potato and dill leek sauce. I initially had some hesitations about ordering salmon because cooked salmon is usually very dry. However, I was in for a pleasant surprise. The fish was not dry at all and tasted very good! My favourite part was the yummy crispy skin. It was so good that I ate very slowly because I didn't want to finish it so fast.

We had mocktails of Shirley Temple and Fruit Punch, as we don't drink alcohol.


The restaurant is comfortably furnished and very cozy for date nights.
