The Gourmand Experience: Feast of the Seven Seas

Azur introduces The Gourmand Experience: a series of premium buffet dinners celebrating the freshest ingredients and charming flavours from around the world.

Last week, I was invited for a spread from the first edition of the series - Feast of the Seven Seas!

Feast of the Seven Seas will launch later this July, over a limited period of two weekends (19 - 21 July and 26 - 28 July).

(Parisian Mussel with Fresh Herb Crumbles)

I was very excited for the session because I LOVE SEAFOOD. A seafood feast is definitely one of my favourite things in the world!

It was definitely a great dinner over a great conversation with the other bloggers. In this entry, I will share some of the highlight dishes included in the spread for this special menu!

First up, Selection of Premium Chilled Seafood.

A variety of fresh seafood from different parts of the world will be available at the chilled seafood counter, some include - Boston Lobsters, Steamed Blue Crabs, Tasmanian Crayfish, New Zealand Green Mussels, Freshly Shucked Fines de Claires Oysters, Jumbo Bay Clams and Poached Tiger Prawns. I enjoyed the meaty and juicy crabs, prawns, crayfish and lobster. Awesome to have so many favourites in one dinner!

Great juice to go with all the seafood.

Lobster Bisque with Tarragon Chantilly Cream with Herb Gougères was one of my favorite dish for the meal. I liked the strong flavor of the lobster and it was perfect.

Black Pepper Slipper Lobster. I also like this a lot!!!! I could have 10 or more of these. Haha.

Hawker Style Stir Fried Bamboo Clams. Did not have this because I don't like clams, mussels, oysters, and any other seafood in this family etc. The sauce was fragrant though.

Baked Whole Salmon with Seafood and Aromatic Spices served with Coconut & Lemongrass Espuma was everyone's favourite!!!!!! It is actually salmon topped with prawns, scallop and squid. The toppings were as delicious as the main! Scallop just melts in the mouth and the rest was flavorsome. This dish is definitely an awesome creation!

I personally felt that the Baked Conchigliette Pasta with Shrimp & Mozzarella Cheese was good too. (When placed alongside such a big spread of other seafood, this may come off as meh, but I really think it's quite nice on its own!)

Everyone was already full by now but everyone still wanted desserts. Haha. Most buffet-goers I know regard the variety of desserts as one of the main criteria they look out for and Azur will not fail in this aspect. There were so many little cakes and sweet stuff for us to choose from, I was spoilt for choice.

To enhance your dining experience, a complimentary glass of mocktail or red or white wine will also be served!

  1. Hi Esther,

Thank you for the great review! I'm glad you enjoyed the preview menu we prepared.

Chef Andrew and his team are working hard on tweaking the items based on the feedback everyone gave us during the tasting and we hope to further impress our guests with a fantastic seafood spread come 19 July!

    Cheers,
