Triple Three @ Mandarin Orchard

Dad just told me that my mobile data usage has hit 12gb *gasp* So not looking forward to paying phone bills this month :( I miss those days when we had unlimited mobile data! Nowadays data is really expensive!

OOTD: Something different from my usual style, and I kinda like it!

Anyway, this is yet another buffet entry! Bf brought me to Triple Three at Mandarin Orchard after lunching here with his colleagues and finding it good. I can never remember Triple Three or Triple One and always have to google for the right name. Didn't help that the nearby 313 somerset has a similar name.

I always begin with sashimi during buffet, unless I am really hungry... then I will go get carbs or meat first. I only like salmon sashimi though.

At the start of our lunch, a Caucasian couple sat beside us and after just a plate of food and complimenting the dishes, they left. I was like, "wah! buffet leh! so worth it for the restaurant!"

Then right after, another pair of Caucasian couple were seated next to us and this time, the man ate a plate of steak while the lady didn't have anything. Then, they left. They were there for an even short duration than the first couple! I looked at bf and said, "wah, is it only Singaporeans so kiasu must eat many rounds during buffet?" Haha. Bf said maybe they are ala-carte customers.... Maybe? If not I am really in awe at how one can pay for a buffet and eat just one plate and leave.... Even if I am not very hungry I also will eat at least three rounds! *kiasu* Hahaha.

More photos of the spread so that you get hungry. Hahaha.

What I got from the chilled section. I don't really like cold food and oysters, so I can't appreciate these very much. Prefer hot and savoury!

Live station cooking my pasta. Not sure why but recently I kinda like tomato? Which is quite weird because I used to hate the taste of raw tomatoes. It all started from that day when I had this really nice tomato soup cooked chinese style and they had some mushy tomatoes in there which didn't taste disgusting.

Happy because my pasta is topped with two plump prawns!

Dimsum... I actually only wanted the hargau... but these three come in a set.

Some local delights! Laksa, which bf had.

I had a hard time deciding between Laksa or Hokkien Mee and decided on the latter. Not bad, but nothing beats going to Chompchomp for local delights. That being said, it has been a long time since I dined there!! Really miss the oyster omelette, sambal stingray, bbq chicken wings, and hokkien mee. With sugar cane!

I like buffets with live stations.

There's also a roti prata station leh! But I didn't try it that day... By the way, service was very good too!

Wide spread of dessert to end the yummy meal!
