Shabu Shabu at Ramen Champion

Me and my boyfriend are both frequent diners at Ramen Champion and we were quite excited when we were invited to try the new Shabu Shabu ramen available at the Great World City branch (the only Ramen Champion with table service)!

I have always loved hotpot, but recently I prefer to enjoy it in air-conditioned restaurants with servers because I find it more comfortable!

To start, we selected two sides from the huge variety of choices on the menu. The chicken wings and mentaiko gyoza, both awesome. The wings were crispy outside, juicy inside, exactly how fried chicken wings should be.

The gyoza with mentaiko on top was heavenly. I am not usually a fan of gyoza but the ones here, I like!

For our soup base, we selected Paitan (white broth) and Tom Yum. Other choices include Seaweed, Miso and Spicy. Sauces also came along with the set - Ponzu (Japanese fruit vinegar), Sesame and Chili.

The Paitan base's flavour is quite light at first, but becomes thicker towards the end of the meal due to the constant boiling and was very tasty, I craved for ramen soup the entire week after that!

Assorted vegetables that came with the set!

We didn't want beef so we selected an ala-carte item to replace it - chicken sausage.

Fresh seafood platter that includes tiger prawn, crab meat, salmon, fishball, and scallop!

Pork belly is a must-have for all hotpots!

Meaty selections also include pork loin and chicken thigh.

Everything on our table! Such a sumptuous meal we eat until very happy! We had a choice of sapporo ramen or udon and we chose the latter. The udon here is very chewy I like it very much!

Very worth it because all these only cost $59++, which is actually a set for 3-4 pax and was very satisfying for me and bf.

There is also a set for 2-3 person at $47++ and 1-2 person at $29. Add ons start from $2.80! I was actually very surprised at the affordable pricing for such a quality set.

Refereshing yuzu drink to go with our fantastic meal.

I highly recommend the shabu shabu at Ramen Champion Great World City! I am planning to go back again! The service staff were also all very pleasant.
