The King Louis #2 + GIVEAWAY

***GIVEAWAY AT END OF THIS ENTRY***
$50 dining voucher at The King Louis and 2 free coffee vouchers at Queens

If you are a meat-lover, read on! I was invited for a food tasting at The King Louis last week and I would like to share this place with you all!

Last year, I visited The King Louis with the bf and had quite a nice dinner. There were hits and misses the previous time though, so I wasn't sure what to expect this time. However, I left the restaurant feeling quite pleased with the food and I think I might want to go back again some time soon!

The restaurant is decorated like the Medieval period, with many knights, bricks, etc The lighting is dark and would make for an awesome date! We sat by the window with a beautiful water view and even managed to see fireworks from RWS! *weekends only

The ambience is also really good because there's live music in the restaurant! Although my description might give the impression that it is a romantic restaurant, it is also a family-friendly place! I heard the kids really love this place due to the theme and there's a special kids menu just for them too. The restaurant is spacious, so it was quite comfortable.

On to the food, we started off with the Signature Mushroom Soup - $8.90. I really like the chunky bits and toast served with it! I don't like diluted ones and this one is definitely just the right thickness and taste. The portion was huge and the back of my head was telling me not to drink so much and make myself too full for the other courses but it was really too good to not finish. My mind battled for quite awhile and by the time I decided, I finished the entire bowl. Haha.

Next up was Teriyaki Chicken Salad (Fresh garden salad, grilled chicken breast meat topped with teriyaki sauce and parmesan cheese) - $13.80. Very interesting version of salad! Most people do not like tomato, so the tomato here is chopped into small cubes so it's very edible! I love the chicken bits and the sauce! Very generous with the meat too!

For starters, we had Platter C (Castle drumlets, banana bacon bites, golden calamari, prawn twisters and crispy wedges) - $21.90. It's perfect for people who want to eat everything and cannot decide. Haha. The prawn twisters are awesome and I like the drumlets too!

Then, we had our main course, which was the finest highlight of the night. The Queen Victoria serves for 2-3 pax (Roasted beef with black pepper sauce, Premium BBQ baby back ribs, Pan Seared snapper with wasabi mayo sauce, Oven Baked King Prawns with melted Australian cheese, Sauteed scallop with garlic & wine sauce) - $108.50

Doesn't this platter look irresistable??

Let me rank the items on this platter accordingly.
I love the Scallop, then Prawn, then ribs, then fish. I didn't have the beef.
But honestly, all that I ate were of almost the same rank in terms of yumminess. I want to have everything again! It's really good for people like me who always want to have everything. Haha.

The portions at King Louis are big, so it's definitely awesome for meat lovers like me. Fret not for people who are balanced-eaters. Under the meat, is half a platter of assorted vegetables and half platter of roasted potatoes!! There is also a bowl of salad and two sticks with some fruits when you are tired of chewing meat!
