We went to the branch at Chinatown. Actually I was quite surprised to see it almost empty because their photos appeared quite frequently on my instagram feed few months back.
Ordered Mac and Cheese, double portion (S16.90++). I'm not a big fan of Mac and Cheese, but this was good! The cheese was thick and rich, the way I like cheese to be. It came on a hot pan which retained its heat and kept the dish warm for a long time.
Because we liked the Mac and Cheese so much, we decided to order the Toppoki version - Toppoki & Cheese ($9.90++). Adding this Korean element is quite a creative variation of the popular dish! However, it was quite disappointing and didn't fare as well as the above because the rice cake was too big to absorb the cheese flavour.
Portions are huge so we only ordered two chicken platters to share among us four. First, we had the Honey Butter Chicken ($28.90++) because it looked so appetizing on the menu! The boneless chicken chunks are crispy on the outside, and juicy inside. However, I'd prefer it to be salty instead of sweet because I don't really like sweet stuff. Somehow it reminded me of maple syrup on waffles!
Saw a good review for their roast chicken so we ordered the Rosemary Chicken ($29.90++). So delicious, I had so many pieces! However, it's not boneless so maybe some people may not like it. Also, the parts vary.... some are thigh meat and some are breastmeat. Would have preferred everything to be drumsticks or thigh meat! For sides, there's potato, boiled egg, and salad.
Don't mind going back again for the Rosemary Chicken! Also wanna try their original fried chicken too! We spent a total of $100.75 for four person and it was quite worth the price because we were all so full after that!
