Hong Kong 2017

Went on a short trip to Hong Kong with my family and grandparents. Previously we went there with a tour agency and this time it was free and easy, planned entirely by yours truly! It was a very simple trip as we already covered the tourist attractions before.

I loved Hong Kong the first time we went and I think it's one of those places I'd gladly return to for another holiday.

First stop right after we leave our luggage at the hotel - Dimsum!

Our hotel was around 10 minutes walking distance to Yau Ma Tei station, but there are plenty of shops along the way so the journey wasn't too bad.

Took the MTR to Mongkok, where everything is!

We stayed in Silka Seaview Hotel. It is not spacious but comfortable enough. I know my parents approved of it because they booked the same hotel on their next trip :) I think I might too!

Just beside the hotel is Mido Cafe, a very famous one in Hong Kong. This cha chan teng was around since the 1950s and is a filming location featured in many Hong Kong movies. Of course we had to take a look!

Good morning! Time for breakfast!

We quickly took the opportunity to visit Australia Dairy Co while my grandparents were resting at a nearby mall. We were actually very full already but I just had to try this place since it's so popular on instagram! It was quite fun because the busy atmosphere is a different experience for us and we couldn't stop giggling cos we were trying to quickly order, quickly take some photos and quickly eat before we get scolded. Haha. We were really fast and finished our little tea break in few minutes.

If only we have mahjong houses in Singapore too!

More photos but I'm confused with the sequence. We didn't do much la just shopping and the highlight was our day trip to Macau, which I'd share in the next entry! :) Overall was a nice time spent with the family!
