Almost, Famous.

Recently I get very excited about leaving the house.

You know why?
Cos I just had a big collection of new additions to my wardrobe :)

Fringe Skirt.

Vertical banners tank top to match the fringe skirt.

The tank top can also be paired with this reptile skirt!

Besides being cool, sometimes I like being cute. Cherry Ode Dress! Bound to up your sweet factor.

This Silk Polkadot Dress - I love the cutting! Something my mum and my future-mother-in-law would definitely approve of.

What i'm wearing in this pic is a blue floral tube dress. Matches perfectly with this green patch of grass. Lol. I love how comfy it is because of the thick cotton layer underneath!

Is that straw hat abit too small for my head? Lol. Well, that's not the point. This floral dress is climbing its way up my rank of favourite dresses. Comfy and so versatile! I wore it out on a date with BF yesterday ^^

This suede black dress is the perfect choice for glam events don't you think so? Love the material and how it looks. Check out the back. Perfect. I just had to get it although I didn't have any glam events coming up. Haha.

Nice??

Thanks to Jayden who took these photos for me, and Fabian who helped out during the shoot. I have alot more chio pics but I'll upload them another day.

YOU CAN HAVE CHIO CLOTHES LIKE MINE TOO!!!
(and get your friends to help you take pics of your chio clothes in the middle of the road too hehe)

Have you heard of that almostfamous blogshop? Yep, they are almostfamous cos everyone has heard of them except you.

Alright, let me tell you more about this almost famous blogshop.

They are called... ALMOST FAMOUS.
http://almostfamous.com.sg/

I'm truly impressed at how much effort they put into their craft, right down to even the smallest detail.

1) Web Design.

Doesn't it perk up your shopping mood a little more? I'm sure we all don't like to shop in messy websites, right? And that's why retail shops hire display designers.

I love the "add to cart" feature in this blogshop, very convenient!

2) Sometimes after we checkout our goods, we are so eager to know when our items will be sent out. At Almost Famous, they give you a FREE CERTIFICATE OF POSTING! This certificate serves to certify & confirm that your order has been sent out to you via SingPost. It includes information such as the price of the postage, the date of the postage as well as the postal agency your package was sent out from.

Be assured of the status of your postage. Long gone are the days when you would secretly suspect the shop owner of not sending your items out when your mails get lost. (heh, don't tell me you don't slightly suspect that?)

3) Then it comes to the stage when you receive your parcel. Be amazed at how much work they put into the packaging and making sure your clothes are in top-notch condition when they reach your hands.

First they wrap the clothes with plastic wrapping for waterproof purpose, after which they add a corrugated box for extra protection against damage that can be caused by postage. And that's still not enough to them. They even add pretty wrapping paper to your package, which is bound to put a smile on your face when you receive the parcel.

When you shop at Almost Famous, your orders always arrive safely & in the most pristine of conditions no matter rain or shine!

4) Love your pretty buys?
Get spotted wearing Almost Famous!

Wardrobe makeovers on television always seem too good to be true. I’ve watched often with envy as people on those shows get to throw out their entire wardrobe in exchange for a new one picked by designers, image consultants & professional shoppers.

Well guess what? Now YOU can be that lucky person in their BIG GIVE AWAY!

Win up to 10 AF outfits from the latest collection just by donning their clothes! Check out: http://almostfamous.com.sg/blog/2010/02/news-2/

5) What if the clothes you bought at Almost Famous doesn't fit?

No longer do you have to worry! All of their dresses & outfits are fully customisable at Michelle’s Alteration! Almost Famous shoppers will enjoy up to 20% off all alteration services! I've not heard of a blogshop that services you so much even after transaction is made.

6) The apparels are handpicked and imported from overseas as well. I tried numerous of other designs in their store and I was amazed by the quality of these clothings. Definitely not the cheap fragile type of cloth. It feels like clothes from branded boutiques!

Now you must be thinking... "So much extra services, the clothes sure is very expensive one right!"

NO! The clothings are of similar prices with usual blogshops (around $20+ on average). Can you believe it??

Now you understand why I was so impressed. Right from the moment before you shop, till you make your purchase till you wear the products, AlmostFamous services you from the beginning till the end. Not even some retail boutiques can match up.

I'm sure you want to be kept in update with this great blogshop.

Advertorial:

DAMSELS MOST WANTED
http://damselsmostwanted.com/

This is a very interesting little shop that plays on the names of the items using criminal terms. WristSlayers, Stranglers, Loberippers, etc. Can you guess what products does this shop offer?

Yes, accessories!

They will be participating in a flea market called Bazaar Weekends on 1st May, Saturday at Scape Youth Park! Head down if you will be at orchard area!

Join the mailing list for updates, because they will also be joining flea markets at least once a month for the rest of year 2010.

Customizations are available! Maybe you can do a necklace or bracelet with your bestfriend's name for her birthday or your Mum's name for the coming Mother's Day? Customised accessories are the most unique form of gifts because it's one-of-a-kind.

Similarly, the accessories that the owner handcrafted are not available for remakes too in order to ensure that customers have the one and only and they need not worry that others are wearing the same. Say yay for exclusivity!

Prices are affordable for all as the owner cleverly combines both common + quality materials in her work.

I totally love the vintage button rings!!

Right now the Fiddlers (rings) are strictly for sale at flea markets, with only one piece for 90% of them, and at least a hundred pieces every time! These rings start from a mere S$5.00, so head down to their fleas!!!

Customers can also email the owner for more photos should you require to see the accessories at different angles. (Extra service leh!)

Look at these candy themed rings. SO CUTE!

Please also join the Facebook page, just search for Damsels Most Wanted to join.

Dress and jacket from Hanasecret!

It has been so long since I met Jaclyn and co. Usually we only meet once a year, during CNY gatherings cos our parents are friends with their parents. However for some reasons, I didn't get to see them and Cheryl at this year's CNY. And so, Cheryl tried to organise a gathering for us, over twitter.

AND ON THAT DAY,
Cheryl did not come due to her quizzes the next day. We were all grumbling about 'where got planner plan liao never come one' haha.

Oh wells, I met up with the 4 siblings.

I like friends like Jaclyn. We are not close friends but it seems like she knows more about me than my regular friends! You know why? Cos she reads my blog almost everyday (so gandong!), which is at a rate that is a lot more than my closer friends who actually do not read my blog at all/once a month/year T_T

We were all twittering and I dunoe why I go and assume Jaclyn's nick is her name+surname. Lol. Cos you know, many of my friends have twitternicks like that! For example raine, elise, isaac, fidelis etc.

So anyway, it was great catching up with them. Jaclyn used to be so chubby but now I'm like twice her size -.-"

can you guess this seafood horfun is for who? :D

I'm sick again T_T

FAKE WIND.

Today, I'm going to haolian two of my favourite photos from the shooting session with Jayden last weekend. So you all must go thank his photographic skill because you get to view these chio piccies!

You can also click on the picture to see a larger view ^^

For the past few days I've been staring and admiring these two pictures on my computer. That shows how much I love them. I even set the first picture as my company computer's background pic!

MAKINGS OF THE FLYING HAIR:

Don't see like very breezy with all the hair flying hor. It was ultimately warm and humid that day. We shunned the noon sun and started mid-afternoon but that day it was opposite from usual; it was cooling at noon and hot during the timing we shoot -.-

THERE WAS NO WIND AT ALL. The flying hair was DIY-ed. It means that for every shot, Fabian, who was there to help out that day as well, took a bunch of my hair and swash it across my face while Jayden shoot. We have lots of candid, failed, NGs of my flying hair in the harddisk now. I think if next time I accidentally offend him, he will post up all of my unglory shots online T_T

Each perfect shot usually comes with a dozen failed shots - the perfect timing is often difficult to grasp, unless you are lucky. On the other hand, we sometimes get great pictures out of test shots.

Behind the scenes you see me constantly using a tissue to wipe my forehead because I keep perspiring. Because I have bangs, it is very important to keep my forehead dry so that my fringe doesn't become several strands of wet hair sticking on my forehead. However, no matter how much I wiped, it was still wet. So, we made do with a fluffy top-layer and beneath it is all wet strands sticking on my forehead. Haha you would never had guessed it right.

In another picture which I'm going to show probably next week, I was in the middle of several dense plants and bushes, and the photo portrayed me in a cool facial expression, but behind the scenes I was totally uncool, trying to keep the insects from crawling onto my legs. In the end I couldn't stand the itchy insects and ran out of that spot. I think I stepped on some insect nest or something.

Which one you like more!!!!
:):):)

This entry inside got @rainechai @elisetay @jayleif @theiceangel @typicalben !!

I WANT CHANGE CAMERA LIAO LAH!!!!!!!

Last time I love my camera alot but after i see other people's camera the picture colour so nice somemore got bokeh (background blur) somemore still can so compact, my camera like very lousy in comparison lor!

Hmmphs, look at these piccies.
Nice food also become so undesirable!

Had all these goodies and alot more at Xin Fu Yum Cha, with the usual gang. Jayden, Ben, Raine and Elise.

After lunch we split ways to run our own errands.
I went to cut bangs cos I really think I look bad with side fringe.

Raine intro this hairstylist for me cos my usual hair salon Clover is closed for that day.

We joined back again after running our errands and took neoprints! Elise and Raine bluff people one, they say they so long never take neoprints liao but you see these pictures, they more pro at posing than us leh! Must be at home secretly practise right.

My bangs nicer than side fringe right?

For your info, the "Mei" is i ownself put in one. Haha. Bhb much.

Ending Off.

I SO HAPPY.
If you haven't noticed, right at the end of my blog I've a new feature, "READ MORE ENTRIES", which will lead you to another page of entries which you haven't read if you are not a regular reader. All thanks to Raine, who i trusted with my password, I can now beat the auto-pagination problem and my archives wont have missing entries anymore cos now you can just click more pages!

^^
I'm so glad because this means I don't have to go through the trouble of shifting.

On the other hand I'm kinda sad cos I lost my wallet. It's really weird how I lost it because I remembered holding it on my hand in the bus! Then when I want to alight, it's gone. Not on the floor, not on the seat, not in my bag, and not in my hands.

:(
Cancelled all of my cards and is now waiting for the reissue to be mailed to me. No more buying of things with student price by showing them my tertiary concession pass, cos I've already graduated out of school. HAI! I was intending to cheat student price for at least 2 years more lor! Nextime how to have cheap cheap KTV without student card! T_T

I think I know why I lost my wallet liao. Cos recently I had a photoshoot done with Jayden, and the pictures are FABULOUS. Probably my best pictures taken. And you know what people always say.. "you gain something you lose something". The pictures are SOOOOO boomz that I had to lose my pretty wallet. Hmmphs. Nevermind, wallet can buy new one, nice pictures are rare. Show you all next time!! I still got so much to blog away so you all wait okay. Heh.

If you really cannot wait, got a preview for one of the pics at my twitter account display picture. http://twitter.com/theiceangel . Follow me if you havent!! I actually update there faster than I update my blog.

Here are some random pictures taken while I was filming the video in the previous entry. Credits to Raine for most of the pictures!

I like this vibrating buzzy thingy! It helps to buff away the 3D objects from the previous extensions.

You like? I like how it's simple yet sweet.

CuiLing helped me pedicure leopard prints! Me loving it :)

Although this time the ribbons on my nails are retail-bought, usually 3D objects on the nails are drawn on the spot using acrylic powder!

See? Like this, they sculpt the ribbon using a brush. So amazing!

End result of drawn ribbons:
